Like in other sports, there are some different kinds of throws in handball. When the ball goes out of bounds, the team that wasn’t the last to touch it is awarded a throw-in. But how is it taken? Let’s check it out!

The Throw-in

The throw-in must be taken on the same spot that the ball left the court. The throw-in taker has to step with one foot on the line, while the other should remain completely out of the court. The thrower can pass the ball to any direction.
All the opponents have to stand at least 3 meters from the throw-in spot. If it’s not possible due to their goal area, they should stand immediately outside it, staying as far as possible from the thrower.
